Πολλά τα τρεχάματα στη δουλειά, είχε πέσει και είχε χτυπήσει και ο Κλαδευτηροχέρης και έμεινε στο κρεβάτι πάνω από μήνα, στο τσακ πρόλαβε πάλι να στολίσει το Χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο της. Παραμονή Χριστουγέννων το βράδυ, και εκείνη συναρμολογούσε, και κρεμούσε φωτάκια και στολίδια. Πώς τα ξέχασα αυτά; αναρωτήθηκε η Πίπη. Γιατί δε μου φωνάξατε όταν είδατε ότι σας ξέχασα; τα ρώτησε.
